A Carriage full of Royal Children..plus Marcus.

:: Waiting on the plains of F'tallian at the steps of the castle, he stood with his arms folded, his eyes narrowed as he focused on the sky. Under his breath, it was muttered about Chaaran and his lateness. How long does it take to fly from Icehold to F'tallian? The winds flew in circles about his clothes, causing an annoying flutter to his cloak. Then, in the distance, he caught sight of the sillouette - a skelleton Dragon with the carriage being swayed from side to side in its claws. Turning around, he Mind Linked Damyn "They are here, M'lord" ::

:: he stares down through the carriage window, memorizing various landmarks seen from the air as they travel. A trip to see his brooding uncle had suddenly become a one way journey to the lair of a dracolich.::

Claudia dear, what do you think are the chances this creature can be bribed?

::She calculated his proposition carefully in her mind, looking at the odds of it from a very scientific point of view. Her grimace demonstrated that the answer was not good. Glancing to her twin brother, Claudia shook her head as if to say that the result of attempting such would be a very, very bad idea.::

((Also looked to Claudia then to Xavier. With a fold of his arms and a small shake of his head he chose to speak up.))

"Well, this doesn't exactly bode well for us, my liege lord. Is there anything I can do? Perhaps I can send a message to Merridia for the parentals to come and get us?"

:: shoots Marcus a sharp look::

We do not involve those creatures in our affairs unless it becomes a must. At the moment we ar still in a relatively secure position, though judging by the landscape below we are headed deep into the forest proper, most likely to the beast's lair.

Do dead dragons eat? Or will it just play with us before death sister?

::Taking another peek out of the window, she returned after a few minutes and mind linked her brother.::

"The vertebrae of this dracolich is chipped which indicates to me that this would be the Dracolich Chaaran, brother to Duke Kharne of Cape Salarain. He gained such a wound in a fight with said brother..its in the history books, a most interesting read...especially the section on Dragon Anatomy.

This can only mean one thing, dearest brother. Since we know that by myth Chaaran has ALWAYS been connected to our half brother Ash, that we've been called for personally which may work in our favor..."

::She continued to look ahead at Xavier, yet her mind was concentrating on what might come of this little outing.::

:: nods ::

Excellent, then we can deal with this little family visit quickly and get on with important matters. Marcus, you will be meeting our brother Ash, do not trust him even remotely. He will no doubt be wishing to cause us some harm.

:: as soon as the carriage settled to the ground Xavier throws open the door::

Ah good, we're finally here. Now, where is our dear brother? I am certain he is simply dying to see us after so long apoart.

:: waves back at the dracolich dismissively::

Thank you for the transport dear best, it would have taken hours otherwise. Now run aloing back to the boneyard and await our summons.

::Stepped out of the carriage cautiously following her brother, then distinctively notices something different. Her height was taller, her shoes no longer upon her feet, and her clothes had turned into rags. With wide eyes, she glanced to Xavier, her arm reaching out to quickly grip his elbow in desperation.::

::Damyn returns Ash's mindlink "Very good. Please, bring them to me."

He stands, black robes flowing loosely around his body, pale, slender, long-fingered hands unfolding fromt he sleeves to trace along the walls of the main throneroom of F'Tallian's keep, dancing in the dark energies of the destroyed demon. He focuses on those energies, pulling them into his body ever so slightly, feeling the power dance along and within his body. he allows the energy to flow through his body openly and he turns seating himself upon the throne as he waits, his hands tracing the arms of the throne, feeling the texture of the stone under his fingertips. He mindlinks Ash again. "Their travel went well, I presume? I do so hope our dear Charaan hasn't frightened them in the least. Your talent and patience has been noted, and you will be rewarded."::

::Damyn's ML echo'ed in his mind, but he did not answer straight away, rather amused and baffled at the sixteen year olds getting out of the carriage. He frowned at first, which turned into a scowl until, upon further inspection Ash realized that this really was, Claudia & Xavier...by family resemblence. He didn't know the other, rather surprised that all of them wore torn clothes and needed cover.

Clearing his throat, Ash unclasped his cloak and confidently placed it over Claudia's shoulders in a non-threatening fashion. ::

"Welcome, my Brother and sweet Sister. Let us go inside, I can find you more suitable attire from within. I am glad your trip wasn't too troublesome."

::He ignored Marcus, assuming him to be a servant and turned, guiding them all towards the building.::

ML Damyn: "Thank you for your praise, My Lord. We shall arrive shortly."

::Damyn drums his fingers on the throne arms, not impatiently. ML Ash: See to it they are refreshed and comfortable, make them at ease. we have time, and they may have question they would be more willing to ask of you."::

::ML's Damyn, reaching out for her mind for the nearest person and finding him. Her voice sounded discorded, like the sound of high pitched children speaking at once. It was haunting, eerie.::

"It is my suggestion sir that you return us back to our lands unharmed unless you have a proposition for us."

::She had inherrited her mothers demonic abilities, adn she sensed soulreavers essence. Little...well not-so-little Claudia had a gift when it came to dealing with such creatures. She closed her eyes and found comfort in the energy that simmered in the land.

It caused her to smile, as Ash placed the cloak around her. She was not smiling at him, but he would not know any different.

Blinking, she looped her arm into her brothers.::

ML Xavier: "We can manage this. I'm not worried."

::Damyn is non-plussed by the contact with Claudia. He stops drumming his fingers a moment, leaning forward slightly. His voice echoes back, ghostly and light. "My dear, you're in no position to be makings demands. But trust, your brother will see to your needs, and all will be revealed in time."

He MLs Ash: "The girl, she is bright, and she has a certain power. Watch her closely. These ones, they have potential, and will be receptive to us."::

ML Damyn: "I am watching all of them carefully, I assure you. They will be made comfortable."

::Smirking, Ash made his way behind Xavier and reached into the carriage, pulling Marcus out.::

"Lets not hide, shall we."

::Turning back to his siblings, he mused at their sudden similiarity in age.::

"This is different. I thought you might have been younger..."

::Particularly smirks at Claudia::

"Not, of course, that I have any complaints. Now, come this way..its more comfortable inside."

::Damyn bows his head slightly, leaning back once more, his fingers tracing delicate patterns on the stone, drawing more of the energy into his body to feel it play through him, waiting a moment before he returns Ash's ML: "I trust you Ash, to do as you see fit, perhaps make them more...pliable, let us say, to our wishes." his tone is quiet, ghost calm, echoing in the perfect devil's tritone, before he ends the Mindlink::

:: watches Ash as he approaches Claudia, her first ML not even registerring until his hand drops to the wooden blade at his side...only to find what was once a sword was now a small wooden dagger in his larger hands.::

Interesting. Yes, let us see to some proper clothing before we continue, and be certain to tend to my associate as well.

:: ML Marcus, " Watch carefully here and be ready for anything. I can taste the demon's taint in these lands and I do not like the way Ash seems distracted. It indicates a different master here."::

:: ML Claudia, " I smell the demon sister, but somehow stronger here than with father, this may prove to be a more fortuitous detour than we thought should we be able to draw from the essence here for our own ends. I will make very effort to retreive a weapon at first oppurtunity, be ready with your own methods should the need for battle arise." ::

::She cautiously followed her brothers as they made their way into the building. Her mind was clear, and she was conscious of what was going on. Claudia was confident that something somewhere could be worked out, or that they would be missed by family.::

ML Xavier: "Indeed brother. We had the same thoughts, I agree this might be more fruitful than we first imagined."
