Shadow Whispers

I find it more and more difficult to beleive that it has all really been so easy. In the matter of a few short years I have managed to take the throne away from Bathory without so much as killing a single member of her court...save for those that truly annoyed me. I find it all quite impressive.

My master stroke was the use of jaric and his swords. The demon performed perfectly from day one. Dancing to the merry little tune as I knew he would. It made the inevitable that much sweeter when she realized there was no way she could afford Not to give in to my demands.

And all it took was a simple marriage contract. Now, for the time being at lest I am secure. After arranging for Victor to betray the family and setting him as the culp[rit for the invasion of Raven'sCrest it was a simple matter to deplete Jaric's forces with a war here in Aegis..again thanks to my little demonic allies.

And now my dear brother finds himself weakened, and on foreign soil, unable to come for the justice I truly do desrve to face, and securing my own empire behind a crown that was won by a woman who dance to my tunes as readily as any other.

And there it is, with the mastery of an artist I have manipulated both realms into securing my fortunes. A brilliant play, and none are now in a position to do a thing about it.

Checkmate.

Well, it seems my peices are all in place, the game board is looking perfect, and all will happen as planned. The only variable that is not entirely secured is Jaric, and yet I have confidence that dear little Angel will put him in play as planned, assuring victory.

Rensain has no idea what I have planned, and yet he has played along as expected. While he may be in the dark I have absolute faith that he is begining to put all of the peices of this play together, and has learned that he stands to gain tremendously should this ploy go as planned.

Bathory however has proved troublesome. She would risk all of my plans to secure her useless title with no thought as to the damage she would cause. But no worry, she will no longer be a problem now. Not after our last meeting

Now we wait. I have played my cards, it is now up to Jaric to play his part, and then we begin my greatest trick to date.

Well, another perfectly executed plan...I love it. The throne is no longer my concern. I have set in place all of my operatios and placed the poor girl on the throne. Jaric is currently.." indisposed" and I ma free to come and go again as I please. To top it all off, Bathory is no longer an issue. She has been dealt with in a most permanent and satisfying way.

The fools think they have won. Let them. I have more freedom to pursue my agenda now, with less scrutiny and a full pardon for all past crimes. I am at current, a legally pure soul. How wonderful. Of course, with a word I can collapse this nation. My people are everywhere, and shouldd the new Queen prove to be a bother to me and mine, I will simply arrange for another, more suitable replacement to be made available.

I do so love a nice game of politics.
