Returning home by portal, Rensain stepped inside the throne room of his familiar castle. Dusting off his clothes, he wore an elegant black suit with diamond jeweled buttons.
"Ah...good to be home."
Darling Rensain smirked, his lips twitching as he lifted his cane and pointed it towards the hearth, the fire brimming to life. Taking to his favourite over stuffed chair which was positioned nearby, he slumped into it with an outwardly loud sigh. Vladamir was quite the difficult employer, oh how he enjoyed working with him. The partnership was proving quite the success.
"Maire?"
He called out, wondering where she was and only just noted that she had not yet appeared.
"Maire?"
It was then that he frowned. Something was missing....something was dreadfully missing....so he leaned upright, then stumbled up to his feet.
"Marcus???? WHERE THE HELL IS EVERYONE????"
A goblin whom had been hiding under the coffee table, already fearing for his masters wrath lept up and was about to make a run for it when Rensain reached out with his hand and pulled the creature off his feet and high off the ground (as high as an elf can get, anyway).
"Tell me, where are they??? What happened? Where did they go?"
The goblin gibbered and shook, until Rensain threw it across the room. The answer was not good. The words "Icehold" and "Took the carriage with Xavier and Claudia" caused the old elf to visably gulp. He contemplated, for a mere half a second to go to Icehold to get them all back...then thought better of it. With a deflated sigh and a shake of his head, he knew now that he'd be returning to Meriddia with bad news.
He opened the black travel portal...and disappeared.
