Oh yes, those nasty, wicked green eyed women.

Oh, her. Some tavern. Over on East Street I think it was.

He kept his tone light, almost casual as if he only knew through passing, although he did know exactly which one it was.

~she chuckled a little~

"Oh Artimus what ever will i do with you."

He turned to look at her with an exagerated hurt expression on his face.

What did I do now? It's not my fault if I happen to know someone.

~she smiled at him and moved close kissing him softly~

"I just love how your mind works."

He smiled his cocky grin once more.

So, which tavern will it be for lunch?

~she grins~

"Your choice cause I don't need to eat to keep this girlish figure." ~she did a little sexy pose. and chuckled~

His eyes were caught by the pose, it was one of the things he loved most about her.

Well clearly we can't go to the tavern on East Street. I don't want you getting jealous. And I don't know what she's likely to put in my drink if we go there. I think we should head back to the tavern we stayed at last night. They do good food there.

Even as he said that, he realised his meal last night was with Willow.

~she nodded~

"So do you eat down in the tavern or back in the room?"

Well last night I ate in the room. But today I think I'll be a little more social. Just in case anyone wants to speak to me.

They were almost at the tavern now, so he quickened up his pace and went inside. He ordered some food and a drink, then took a table and waited for it to arrive.

~she slid in next to him so it didn't look funny with them talking. as she leaned against him.~

"Hmm last night i was so mad at you. Amazing what a night can do."

He didn't want to rehash that whole argument again - he knew she was mad at him for not telling her he was leaving.

I know. And, I'm sorry.

He had to move the conversation away from this.

I wonder how mrs. Rensain's shop is doing. Last time I was there she had just had a shipment of seedlings in. I wonder if she's got any of her own tea ready yet.

"hmm not sure I would think so. Still hard to think of him married." ~she smiled softly~

Well, it had worked. They had moved the conversation away from Art's cowardness.

I'll have to send Jade to get me some more tea from there. My lats batch got misplaced in our haste to leave the cave.

He paused and gave a small laugh.

Funny I should be thinking of going to visit her again, when the island is about to get ripped apart. Perhaps I'll wait till this is all over.

And why would he send Jade and not go himself? He knew the answer to that; it was because of Mrs. Rensain's neighbour. He wanted to keep away from her, despite being drawn to her whenever she was near.

~she did chuckle a little as she wondered the same thing~

"I suppose that is the one thing that would get left behind as it wasn't high on what we need to be out of here list."

Well I did tell Jade to get everything from the cave...

He trailed off as she spoke as he answered his own question. He'd told her not to bother with the food supplies - the rabbits and fish - and he supposed she'd included his tea in that.

Shame really, this city had no idea how to make a good cup of tea. In fact, the only city that seemed to know was Draco, and - well the less said about that place the better really.

Well I can't blame her really. I'll just make her go get me some more.

He couldn't remember the name of the blend he had last time - he'd picked it by tasting it. So what would Jade pick? This really was something he had to do himself.

No, scratch that. I need to go.

He'd just keep away from the shop next door.

~she nodded~

"Am sure you can get more. Isn't willows shop next to hers?"

Is it?

Artimus spoke in a tone he hoped made it seem like he'd not thought of that.

Well I've no business going to see her.

"I thought you wanted her to make something for you or was that just for the necklace?" ~she reached over and touched it.~

Artimus looked at her.

Yes, there was something I wanted her to make. But now, I'm not sure I want her involved in something so personal...

"What was it that you want made?" ~she tilted her head then sat back as they brought over the food.~

He straightened himself as they put the food in front of him, then looked back to Indis.

Well originally it was going to be for you. But that was before I knew about... what happened to you. Or even about Jade. So then I thought I could still get it made and present it to jade once she finished her training. Of course, it looks like I won't get chance to finish that off as I would have liked.

He picked up some of the food and started to eat.

Promise you won't tell her, but it's a glass sword.

"Head straight for the keep. The duke has healers there."

~He moved back once again to provide protection until they reached the keep. He dismounted and called a servant to get a healer. Once one arrived, he left the two injured people in their care, telling one of the guards what had happened, and that he and Jade were witnesses if any more information would be needed. He also told him which tavern they would be staying in.~

~He then made sure the horses were stabled and most of his belongins taken to a room in the keep. Once all the official business was done, he turned to Jade.~

"Well, we're here."

~His voice was changed once again.~

~she had followed him around as business was going on and listen when told what to do.~

~she looked up at him as she noted the change in his voice again.~

~she kept her voice flat.~

"Yes we are." ~she was still a little upset by his switch~

~He noted her imitiation of his voice, but ignored it for the moment.~

"Well we've done all we can now. I think it's time for a drink."

~she nodded~

" I will not say a word."

~she smiled softly as she leaned on the table some as a few pieces of hair fell into her face.~

~she tried not to make eye contact with him. cause she knew as soon as she looked at him she would forgive him.~

"Yes I could use a drink."
