The Next Steps

::Master Damyn had not harmed her with his punishment, more exhausted her mental and physical state. She made a mental note to learn from it, and indeed she had. She had been pleased with herself, having formed a direct connection with the Master Necromancer to draw out his essence and rob his soul from his physical being. If she could do it once, she was sure that the lethal exercise could be repeated - if not with him than with another.

Claudia drank hungrily from Marcus, taking what she wanted of his vitae. Finally, she removed her lips, wiping her mouth with her hand and blinking, looking up at him with her head tilted to one side. A small smile danced as her eyes shone with new life and energy.

Her arms and body wiggled free of his neck and she brought herself back onto her feet, running back into the ring with Xavier. Mind Linking Xavier "I am ready...." her eyes cast towards Damyn as she nodded, gathering her magic.::

//His heart was beating wildly, and he remained on the ground as she left him there. His hand came up to the wound to his neck and although Marcus needed a moment to reply, he could hear the necromancers voice in his mind. It struck a sore point and his eyes flashed.

"I wasn't trying to distract her from her lesson." or make her love me, he mused to himself privately. Had it been so obvious? He continued. "She needed rest." It wasn't a lie, it had been her punishment. His eyes cast upwards and he looked to Xavier and Claudia in the circle already. Staggering back up to his feet, he kept clutch of his book as he stumbled back into the circle. Uttering a few prayers under his breath, he attempted dark and divine essence to heal his wound...however, it didn't work, and he found he was still bleeding heavily from it.

This was an unexpected surprise and his eyes widened. He brought his hand down to look at it, soaked in blood. "Master Damyn..." he showed him his hand. Once again he uttered the words of a divine healing spell, and frowned as it just wasn't working and he was beginning to feel dizzy from blood loss.//

:: Xavier raises an eyebrow as Marcus begins to seem dizzy from the loss of blood, he had not quite expected that from claudia, but put it aside as a mental note for later that if she were able to do such, then he certainly had the potential to try that trick as well.

He approaches the first of the undead with his blade readied, the lightl reflecting off the mirror blade in strange patters , making little spots along the ground as he advances. He swings a hard, overhand chop at the skull of the first undead opponent

ML Claudia: "When it goes down, draw energy off the bastard, it can not focus on reforming and fight you at the same time, and if we can slow it down, they can not overwhelm us."

ML Marcus: "Pull your head together, we will need you to bind the bones and banish the spirit again. Take the spirit away, and we have no more to fear the bastards." ::

=Damyn turns impassively to Marcus. Gathering energy, he directs a dark line of it to Marcus, the flesh of the wound pulling together with an intense flash of burning pain, a searing that would be felt deep within the muscles of his neck and upper chest, and cause an agony in his skull. The wound was healed just enough to prevent the loss of more blood, and with the flow of energy came a feeling of disappointment from Damyn towards the priest. The energy itself would leave him feeling cold as well, having sapped some of the warmth from his living flesh.

As Xavier swings, the skeleton, steps to the side, it's own blade flashing up with a metallic ring to push his aside, and coming up with a backhand swing towards his neck.

As if a signal was given, the other three step into the circle, blade up, one stepping towards Claudia, one to Marcus, and a second to Xavier.=

//The pain began to sear thoughout the wound upon the burning flesh of his neck. Marcus reached out with his hand and touched it, gritting his teeth as he breathed and tried to handle the painful healing. His eyes flickered momentarily, his mind losing control. He let out a yell of unappreciation, both from Damyn's disapproval and the sheer agony. It was still cool to the touch when he moved his hand away, his head turning and looking towards Claudia and Xavier.

Marcus had heard Xaviers words, and nodded once in response. He was going to pick himself up and fight through it. Looking down he flicked open the book and found the page he needed and then, raising his hand up, he drew a visible sign of protection, once again raising the sheilds. Incanting loudly, he summoned the power of SoulReaver, the winds themselves picking up around him as Marcus begins his own charge - to banish the spirits of the undead.//

:: Xavier snaps his blade up, catching the backhand swing of his enemy with the flat of his blade, kicking out at the thing's knee with a heavy boot. He brings his empty hand around, a flicker of black flame dancing in his palm before flaring out , firing a ball of dark fire at the second advbancing target in an attempt to slow it down as it advances.

ML Claudia: " Watch the preist, he is our weak link, and one of our better assets, close with him, work in concert, bring them down with your magic, he will banish them with his. It should be short work for the two you have, I will hold these."

ML Marcus: " Work in tandem with Claudia, defend her while she drops them, she will do the same when you are to banich the enemy. Remember, blunt weapons, the flat of the balde will be more effective against these things than the edge..which reminds me to get a hammer for this exact predicament." ::

:: Claudia nodded to Xavier, not doubting his orders for a second. She knew and trusted her brother above all else and so instantly, she began to concentrate her magic upon the enemy. Putting her palms down to her sides, she closed her eyes and allowed the magic to gather and tingle.

Stepping forward, the female necromancer reached upwards to the heavens, drawing down lighting from the sky that crackled with firece raw energy. Throwing it sharply, she hit all three of the undead opponants, throwing them of course and disorientating them. ::
