Aegis Storyline Summary

Heya Guys,

As you may have guessed by now, we're changing things up in Aegis. Not everything has been posted on the boards (some of the role play has been conducted in msn messenger for ease of use) so I want to explain OOC some of the storylines in character and what's going on for the sake of people not becoming confused.

King Jaric Carthallion of Aurora has discovered that the sword SoulReaver had been taken from the Icehold vault. SoulReaver is the evil twin sword to the exaulted Angelfire sword. Usually Jaric carries both at all times. As we know from the past, within SoulRever is a powerful demon, and within Angelfire, a powerful Angel.

King Vladamir of Aegis, Jaric's brother, was suspected by Jaric of taking the sword for his own power. Therefore Jaric and his wife Angel (Daughter to Angelfire, long story) decided to march North with their troops to confront Vladamir and reclaim SoulReaver.

They stop at the Thunderlands, where Rensain and his pregnant (with twins) wife Maire are living under Vladamir's Mansion. Whilst there for dinner, Vladamir corners Angel in private and convinces her to sign a contract that would hand over the realm of Aegis to her, but on the condition that she exonerate him and his family of all past crimes.
She has signed that contract. If she ever breaks the contract, she forfeits her soul.

With concern that Jaric (who is also a wraith when he removes his ring) is losing his humanity, Angel has a long talk with him and convinces him to return to Icehold to spend time with his church. In the meantime, she intends to move on forward to Merridia to claim the capital, knowing that Bathory and Vlad are no longer there. Bathory has been missing for some time, and no one has seen her.

Kinsen, the Auroran Admiral has three iron ships and the Auroran fleet parked outside Del Fuaco, and has ordered Scarlet and all the pirate Captains to gather and meet him.

Ralean, Gil, Jared and Amarra have been hiding out in Everest forest, having been ordered there by Vlad. They get a surprise visit from Verran, who happens to be Jaric's huntsman. This was followed by a visit by Angel who has just told them the news - that she has become the new Queen of Aegis.

That pretty much sums up the basics of whats going on. Feel free to ask questions!

Awesome summary, Rae! But I have a question - what has been going on with Damyn, Ash, Chaaran, Claudia & Xavier and Marcus in F'tallian?

In F'tallian, Damyn is supposedly holding the dark throne there until the demon SoulReaver returns. So far, that has not happened. Damyn the necromancer is currently training Claudia, Xavier and Marcus in the ways of the dark arts while they possibly amass an army and re-strike the Aegian walls. Ash and Chaaran remain loyal to Damyn's cause (it seems!).
