To spar or not to spar...

~they rode there horses to the edge of town.~

" I will go and find Tib and see if he agrees to the spar with what you want. A fight until one of you yields. And no retaliation from the winner. You both agree to leave and not get ambushed by the other... Ok stay here I will send you at mindlink if he agrees...and dad...I love you know matter what." ~she smiled softly~


~she rode into town stopping at an inn for a moment to freshen up. She had them draw a bath for her so she took a few moments and got cleaned up. She did up her hair and actually left it down and then changed into nice brown leather pants the hugged in all the right places. and then went for a nice blue top that was a half shirt showing her mid drift off. The bruises were barely visible do to her elven blood they were fading fast. Daggers in the boots and one at the hip and one hidden. She wrapped her bag around her and then headed to the barracks area. Walking up to a guard and asking.

"Excuse me. Do you know where I can find Tiberious Farstrider?"

~He had arrived back in the city earlier in the day, having ridden hard from Meriddia. He came back and cleaned himself up from the ride, changed his shirt and then went over to the training ground to prepare for the days lessons with the meat-heats.~

~He was currently training a small group who were about 3 weeks into their 12 week training. he had started with a group of 15, and was currently down to 8. Most of his trainees quit before the end of the training. he never failed them; they just couldn't stand his pace. He made no illusions, he pushed them, and he pushed them hard. They way he saw it was if they couldn't handle 12 weeks of hell then they couldn't handle being in the military.~

~He had spent most of the day in the class room, running through a few things, and now lead his group outside to the training ground for some physical lessons.~

~He picked up two of the practise swords, handing them to two random trainees and asked them to repeat the moves Tiberious had spoken of.~

~Had he looked around a little more, he would have spotted Jade from where he was.~

~the guard had pointed behind to the back and she looked and saw him training she thanked the guard and then walked over towards him. She stood off to the side as she watched the training. As she wonders how her experience would have been if she would have been assigned Tib as a trainer. She knew he would be different out in the open like this. She watched him closely something about how he did what he did she really liked. she was biting her lower lip watching.~

~He wasn't paying attention to what was going on behind him. he was watching his 2 wannabe-grunts trying to workout which end of the sword was the stabby end. His coat was on the other sword rack, using it like a makeshift coatrack. He stood in his shirt, very clean and very white; the creases were pressed to look sharp. This was clearly a man who took a lot of stock in his appearance.~

~ He then became aware his squad appeared distracted by something, and slowly turned his head to where they were looking. Or trying NOT to look in most cases. His eyes set on the vision behind him. Blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail, shirt showing her mid-rift, pants perched just perfectly on her hips. He turned around.~

"Do you mind not distracting my boys?"

~she grinned a little~

"Sorry. I have something I need to talk to you Lt., Sir." ~oh god he looked good in that outfit. Man he gets me all the time.~

~she was trying to sound all official~

"If you have a moment that is." ~she looked over at the guards or would be guards and raised an eyebrow. Geez I was even better then these guys and I wasn't even trying.~

~He turned back to the group, noting the two with swords had stopped.~

"Get back to your training" ~he turned to the other 6.~

"And you lot, get a sword and start sparring. I'll be watching."

~He turned back to Jade, moving around her to let him see both her and his meat-heads~

"Yes?" he said simply to her.

"Still up for that spar with father?" ~she looked at him~

"A fight until one of you yields. And no retaliation from the winner. You both have to agree to leave and not get ambushed by the other." ~she looked a little worried as she shifted for one leg to the other~

~he moved his eyes to her, watching and listening.~

"I'll agree to that, if..." ~he paused for a moment~
"He agrees that when I win, he never sets foot in this city again without permission."

~He had that pokerface of his, the one that showed no emotion.~

~ml to her father~ "He said he agrees but if he wins he doesn't want you to set foot in the city again without permission."

~she couldn't help but eye tib up. ~

"now we wait for his response."

Artimus was waiting in a tavern when he head the link.

"Tell him.. I can go for that, if.. he promises to get Louis to leave us alone if I win."

He really hoped this wasn't going to turn into a long-drawn out list of barters.

~she shook her head~

"Yay for playing messenger. He said if you promise to get louis to leave us alone if he wins."

~she chuckled~

"Return message?"

~He nodded to her.~
"I can't boss him around, but I'll.. persuade.. him to do as he asks. IF he wins. However for agreeing to that, when I win, I want his horse."
~his face hadn't changed, so she couldn't be sure if he was joking or not.~

~she looked at him and crossed her arms~

"Why the horse? You didn't steal my horse by chance he was fathers horses son.."

~ml~ "He said he would persuade him Tib style. if you win but now agreeing to that wants Azure..."

Artimus slumped his head. Not Azure... But then, he realised he HAD to win, and he had to make it worth his while now.

"Tell him yes, but if I win, I want HIS Horse."

Jade needed a new horse, and he felt sure she could handle Fallous.

"He said yes and if he wins he wants your horse."

~she tapped her foot~

"Any other demands?"

~he growled slightly, but kept his face the same~

"I'll do what I can. But for that, I want his boat when I win."

~ml~ "He wants the boat if he wins."

~she turns to look and see how the training is going as she waited for a response.~

Artimus stood up and walked out of the tavern, heading for the training area. This was starting to get out of hand. He HAD to win now with all this on the line.

"Tell him, if I win then I want Mac's house in Cape Salarain."

Tiberious didn't really have much in the way of value as far as Artimus was concerned, but Louis had said Mac was letting them use his house till he returned - and from the sound of things he had no plans to return for a while. If he could win - he had to win now - then they wouldn't need to run any more. Louis would be called off, and his family would have a nice - if slightly small - house to live in. He tried not to think about what would happen if he lost.

~she raised an eyebrow and turned to face tib~

"He wants mac's house in the cape."

~He kept his face straight as he stared at her.~

"Then tell him... when I win. I want you." ~His eyes narrowed.~

~ml~ "He said that when he wins he wants me..."

~she tilted her head~

"Wait did you just say you wanted me..." ~she blushed and was alittle shocked.~

He was near the training ground but stopped walking as he heard the next demand.

"No. Tell him, I can accept all the other things, but I can't lose you."

He had already put his horse before his daughter once before, and it had almost ended in disaster. He would not again.

"If that is his price, then the deal is off."

~she complated... does she tell tib he said no... or does she say its a deal. Still shocked and surprised that Tib actually said what he did.~


~ml~ "Dad like you could loose me. Even if he would win there is no way I would ever not have you in my life. And if am on the table then so be it..."


"He said no to that one but I feel that its more my choice."

~she moved closer to him and eyed him~

"I say yes to the last request. with the ability to still see him." ~she stood toe to toe with him~

"Do you accepted my part of it."

~He kept his face totally straight. You would never want to play poker against this guy.~

"I accept your offer" ~It was basically what they had already.
"And tell him, I accept all the other terms."

~he kept his arms folded.~

~ml~ "Accepted. and all the terms are accepted. from you both and myself."

~she felt him.~

"Speak of the devil..." ~she looked over tib's shoulder.~
