" Who's disappearance?" ~she looked at art then to tib then the thought that had ticked her off so much came across her face and she tried to shake it off. she still to have a word with him about that.~

~she took one more shot and figured if tib didn't want her to snuggle up he would stop her someway. so this time she nuzzled against him. She always loved being in his arms.~

~she then looked to her father and her mother asked the question she wanted to. And waited for an answer.~

Artimus kept his voice steady as he spoke. He had a hunch about this, but no proof.

Where did Floyd go? Who was the last person to see him?

~He didn't push her away at first, but as Artimus finished speaking he did. Then he picked up his glass, downed the shot and stood up.~

"I don't think I like your tone, Mr. Morningstar."

~he looked at Jade.~

"I'm not going to sit here and let him accuse me of this."

Artimus leaned back slightly in the chair.

Accuse you of what? I asked a simple question.

He had a further hypothetical question, but he didn't ask it for now.

~she sighed and looked down at the table and then looked up at her father...~

"Really...Artimus you had to..." ~she stood up she looked at tib~

"Lets just go." ~she looked at her mother.~

" Sorry mom I will talk to you later."

~ml to art~ " I can't believe you. Your probably going to go see her too. Maybe we shouldn't have stepped in."


~she start to walk up toward their room.~

Artimus watched them leave with mixed emotions. Angry because he'd upset his daughter once again, yet happy because one more piece of the mystery had fallen into place for him.

I'm sorry I had to bring that up, I didn't expect him to react quite like that.

He also sent a mindlink to Jade.

~ML: I'm sorry you're a pawn in his games~

~He wrapped his arm around Jade's waist, picking up the bottle with his other hand before they walked off to the room. He waited until they were inside, and the door locked before putting the bottle down and letting her go.~

"Of all the nerve. I was actually willing to sit there with him and make peace! "

~she sighed once in the room~

"Am sorry for the way artimus is."

~she sat on the edge on the bed~

"Why the hell does he think am a pawn in your games."


~ml~ "I am done. Don't talk to me again." ~anger in the tone she was beyond mad at him.~

~He had also heard the mindlink, maybe Artimus forgot he could hear them as well.~

"I have no idea. That man is deranged."

~He was pacing the room. Had Artimus always been this infuriating and he'd never notice before, or was only since he'd come back?~

"And just what in the nine hells is he doing talking about Floyd?"

Artimus put his head in his hands as he got the last mind link from Jade.

What did I say? Indis? Jade's mad at me again.

~she looked at Tib as he paced. She was so mad at art and mad that he set off Tib yet again.~

"Who is floyd anyway?"

~she just watched it all what the hell went wrong..~

"You made Tib mad or at least that is how she sees it." ~she wrapped her arms around him~

"what is the deal with floyd? wasn't he a guard?"

He looked over at Indis.

You must remember Floyd. Young, short. Looked like the uniform was too big for him.

He sighed, remembering some of the rumours he'd heard.

Had a thing for tall elven women. In some respects the uniform was too big for him. He was my second in command. Best damn eye on the shooting range. But very quiet and shy. That was why I made him second, to make him feel wanted. He was on the point of quiting as the others didn't give him any respect. I gave him a purpose, made him stay.

He thought back to a report he'd read many years ago.

He and Susan tried to save my Godson from a fire. All he got from me was a thank you.And now.. he's vanished. Seems he vanished a while ago. No one seems to know where he went.

Jade Blake wrote:

"Who is floyd anyway?"

"Some snot nosed kid who should never have put a uniform on. He was about your age, but seemed to think he knew it all. Damn kid went off hunting bandits in the forest, last I heard."

~he stopped pacing and sat on the bed.~

"I have no idea what your father saw in him, but he cared for him as if he was his own son."

~she nodded~

"Yes I remember him now. But after you left I left her for awhile. and never really thought about him."

~she looked at him.~

" I bet he was disppointed to find me. Instead of a boy. That why he seemed so interested in find out about him."

~He looked at her, his eyes narrowing in thought.~

"You don't think... He's never mentioned having a son at all, has he?"

~He didn't really think it could be, but you never knew with him.~

~she shook her head no~

"But who knows. As far as I know am his only child. I know that is one of the things my mom regrets. Is not giving him more children."

~He grimaced slightly as he knocked the thought away.~

"It was only a hunch. I'd never connected them before, but in hindsight, the way he used to protect him..."

~He drifted off as she spoke, clearly thinking of things, remembering older times.~

"I met his mother once. Never saw his father, but his Mother was from Grorr. Quite nice looking. Shoulder length blonde hair, green eyes, full lips. She had a nice body on her too."

~He stopped reminising and looked back to Jade.~

"But enough about him. What's the connection between Artimus and this Willow woman?"

~she raised an eyebrow as tib remembered the woman.~



"Oh geez she had green eyes...You know am not sure what there connection is completely other then her wanting him... and she has green eyes too. Tho I must say I over heard them talking a few times and I think mother might be pushing them together.. cause she seems to think her time here as a ghost is limited. And she wants him happy after she is no longer around. You know that night I went to grorr I was sleeping on your spot on the floor... and I was woke by this wave of lust and almost love. I figured that my parents made up. But that was the night she was beyond mad at him. So it make me wonder if willow was here and that I felt what I did cause He was with her....~ As she spoke things started to click in place.~

"That Bastard being sleeping with her..."

"The night... "

~he shook his head~

"Indis was with me, in Grorr. We had a talk about things."

~He put his hand on her arm.~

"The evidence isn't looking too good towards him. Now, what's this about green eyes?"

~He did look confused at this.~

~she looked at him~

"Ok now think about every woman he has had...my mother is one exception. Green Eyes.. The one he left with.. you said floyd's mom had them... Willow...that woman in one of the towns on his way back...I heard that one from your brother. If a woman has green eyes its like he gets put under a spell. Yet my mother has blue...Though...Since she is a ghost she can shift appearances so when she needs something he won't say she changes them. I caught her doing it once. "

~she sighs and shakes her head~

"Well if mom was with you then it means willow was in town and in his bed."

~His frown deepend.~

"I can't say I'd ever noticed the eye thing. And before that youngmage got her hands all over him, he'd never been interested before. Not that he didn't know what to do, he just.. She changed him. He was never the same after that."

~He sat back on the bed, dropping into thought. He'd known several green eyed woman, some of which Artimus knew as well, and he'd never noticed him acting any differently around them. It must have been a recent thing.~

~she laid back on the bed looking up at the ceiling.~

"Strange..I think he tries to hide it. Thinking about how he acts around those types I should be blaming him instead of Willow...so that mage changed everything..."
