A visit to see old friends

~she looked at him~

"Beside his mother wanting to where the hell you went. She sent us all four of us after you. And we traveled all over just missing you by days or if we asked about you we would have them all over us fighting us. Just cause when we asked about you they would come at us."


~she turn her attention to the crash stood up and listened for a moment. and turned back around seeing him wiggle around enought the amulet had flipped over.~

"Don't even think about getting out of that chair!" ~she yelled at him~

~he grabs her boots and makes her fall to the ground as she scrabbles to get on top of him and get him pinned to the floor if she can.~

He frowned as she explained what had happened. But he'd told Tiberious where he was originally heading. Why hadn't they just gone there? He really did hope that crash was Jade doing something stupid, and that she's correctly understood his message. By using her wrong name he hoped she's understood that he knew they couldn't communicate using mind link, and to do the opposite of what he said.
Either that or Louis was roughing her up. He started to gather magic as the amulet flipped around.

"INDIS!" he thought hard as he felt it make contact with the skin through his open shirt.

Don't you think if i could get out of this chair, i would have by now?

~He rolled onto his back, bringing his knees up, ready to push her away as she tried to climb onto him. How the heck had she escaped the manacles?~

~there was a mist in the room that gathered as indy came in~

"What the heck...." ~she saw art all tied up and jade wasn't in site.~

~she saw the mist~

"What the hell? Did you do Artimus." ~she threw right punch at his head~

~she looked at all of a sudden there was another person in the room with them.~

~she got pushed off him as she went backwards towards the door she opened and started going out.~

He smiled as he saw the mist arriving, then rocked in the chair once more. He spat out some more blood from his mouth. This was becoming a regular occurrence for him now.

I told you. my wife is waiting.

There was another crash from upstairs.

That sounds like Louis getting his ass handed to him. By a girl.

He was a little calmer now Indy was here, so he used the gathered magic to create a small flame and started to burn through the ropes on his wrists.

~He pushed the air with his feet, jumping into the air in one movement and landing on his feet, then ran through the door after her, practically jumping down the stairs to lunge at her.~

~as he lunges at her they tumble down the stairs with a thud.~

~she got to her feet as quick as she could~

~she then noticed her mom there and her father were there~

~she saw the girl hit art and that was it~

~she grabbed the closest thing to her which was a fire poker and swung it at Erika~

"Get the hell away from my husband."

~put up her arm to block that swing of the firepoker. ~

"I thought you said there was no one special. "

The rope was burned through enough for him to pull his wrists apart and snap his bonds.

And I thought you said you wanted to hurt that person.

He glanced over as Jade ran in the room, Louis (presumably) following. His eyes had already taken in the features of the room, including the large marble fireplace along the back wall.

Jade. Fireplace. He winked at her started to untie his ankles, having already noted where his rapier was.
He was sure Jade would understand his mention of the fireplace, which surely no one could use as a weapon.

He remembered when he had first visited the house and Mac had shown it to him. He (Mac) had called it a 'Farstrider Fireplace' because "It's big, it's ugly, it doesn't seem to fit into it's surroundings. And it's made of tough stuff."

~He groaned slightly as he tumbled down the stairs, clutching onto the clothing of the girl. Unfortunately for him, he was on the outside of the ball of people as they tumbled down the staircase.~

~They reached the bottom and he felt her get up, his fingers desperatly trying to keep hold of the fabric of her clothing, but she pulled away. He got up, feeling winded and ran into the room after her.~

~The first thing he saw was - something - attacking Erika. What the heck was that? Then he spotted Artimus untieing his ankles. Oh hell. He locked eyes on his former commanind officer and together they both looked at the sword. Louis was in closer reach, so he lunged and grabbed it before the Captain could finish untying himself. He flicked the sword towards Artimus, stopping the blade just below his chin. He took a step forward, moving behind Artimus, holding the blade so close to the mans neck that he could almost see it pressing in.~

"One move from any of you, and he gets a new permament smile."

~He looked at Erika, wondering how the heck Artimus had managed to get the drop on her. Then he realised. That sly bastard had backup! The third person was clearly a mage, performing some simple trick to make smoke. He would have to be careful.~

~she ran over to the fireplace and leaned against as louis pulled the sword against her father. She placed her hands on the stone as her eye moved from her father to her mother.~

~The firepoker had caught her arm and she was bleeding but it didn't stop her. From wrestling with Indy. Whom she kicked off her as louis had art by sword point. she grinned over to Louis. Glad he was ok and glad he had the upper hand. She got up and moved over closer to louis.~

~she finally had a look at the one that got the drop on her then looked to Art then over to Jade at the fireplace. She looked back at the one that got the drop on her...she looked then to Jade~

~She had been struggling with Erika. Indis wasn't quite as strong as her but held her own. As she was kicked off she stopped in her tracks as the sword was pulled on Art. She looked at Louis. Then over to Jade.~

~she thought to herself. "oh good Jade is ok. and at the fireplace." she grinned. she knew what could happen there. She glanced over between Erika and Louis. Then she realized they could put it together but hoped maybe they wouldn't but if they did...would they realize that she was a ghost...or just think its a mage trick... the three of them on one side of the room and Louis and Erika on the other. Louis being the on Art tho with the blade to his neck Indis started to think about what the next move should be she was in all defense mode and her mind going thru what should be done.~

Artimus looked up as Louis came in, seeing his old friend for the first time in a long time. Was that eyepatch decorative, or to cover something? His next thought was his rapier. He glanced over to it, then too late he realized he'd signaled his next move. Louis was too quick, grabbing it and moving to hold him by the throat.

He sat up straight in the chair, ankles almost untied, but he was going no where now.

He saw Jade take his hint, then the woman looking between the three of them. Had she figured it out?

He swallowed, feeling his adams apple riding on the edge of his sword, and for once wished he didn't keep the damn thing to sharp.

Louis, your problem is clearly with me. You got me, let the others go.

There wasn't much he could do from this angle. He knew Jade was now safe for a short time, and Indis was.. Indis.. It was his own neck he was worried about right now.
No attack he could perform was guaranteed to stop Louis, and all he needed to do was pull very slightly.

~He finally had chance to look at the new woman. It looked a lot like that Indiana woman they had talked about earlier. He saw Erika look between the three people, and he did the same. There was a definate pattern between them. If he didn't know Jade was Rensain's daughter....~

"You sly old bastard" ~He hissed his words at Artimus. "You're right though. We don't need her." ~He nodded towards Indis~ "But I think we should keep your daughter."

~It was a hunch, but it was worth playing to see their reaction. He almost thanked Artimus for teaching him that one all those years ago.~

~Indis expression stayed blank as she watched at the moment she was greatful for being ghost. she looked to art not knowing what to do next. She then looked over to louis.~

"Wow the the hell happened you two?" ~she moved alittle closer to art the movement was quick enough for them not to notice.~

~She froze as he made the connection. she wanted to ml him badly but knew that this guy must be able to tap into her fathers ml side. she sent one to him anyway.

~ml~We will get out of this somehow. i know you can't respond. but am glad you are my father.

~she stepped away from louis she walked over closer to Indis. and sized her up some. Thinking she could take her in a fight hands down. She took in her features something was off about them and almost not human or elf.~

"What should we do with them to you think? Torture until them while he watches. Or maybe just right out kill him in front of them..." ~she walked over to Jade and looked at her.~

"All be damn. Love I believe you are right about that. Artimus Morningstar has a daughter I never would have thought."

Artimus guessed Louis was taking a stab at his theory, and almost sighed when Jade pretty much confirmed it with her expression. He looked over to her and nodded slightly, to let her know he heard her.

He was pretty impressed with whatever she did to escape herself, she'd managed to get free on her own at least, and nearly taken Louis down.

He knew they weren't going to let her go now, not now they knew.
Think dammit think! He was still untied, Jade was still marblish. They outnumbered them.
On the minus side, he had a sword to his throat, and he couldn't communicate any plans he had easily. Yeah he'd managed the fireplace one, but that was fairly obvious.

What was wrong here? He'd been in situations like this before and walked away before now. What was different this time?

Alright then, you've got US. Let the unicorns go free.

~He looked over at the misty woman thing as she spoke to him~

"What happened to me? What HAPPENED to me? HE happened to me!" ~He was shouting now, shaking with rage~

"I lost my eye because of him. I lost my brother! Tell me why I shouldn't just pull back on this and take revenge?"

~There was a fire burning in that one eye, showing he was not joking around. Then Art made another wisecrack. He looked at Erika.~

"Find someway to shut him up!"

~she walked over and grabbed a piece of material and went behind art and tied it around his mouth gagging him. and tieing it nice and tight.~

"No more out of you." ~she threw a punch at his left cheek to left him know they were not joking around.~
