Training the People

~she noticed the change and tib looked as he left. She nodded to her mother as she left climbing into the chair where tib had been sitting she pulled her legs up and stared into nothing. a million things going thru her head.~

*she awoke in strange surrounding. She shot up and noticed mages around. she looked around the room and a few beds down was the man she had stabbed in the chest. He was alive it seemed. a flood of relief came thru her. She looked down at her leg looked like it was mending well and looked at her hand moved it around. She then looked around for a mirror or some surface and found a tray and looked at her face. looks like she had some bruises but was healing from that too. Her arm with the scar now had a new addition to it. One of the mages walked over and handed her a drink. "here drink this it will help." as she finished it the room went dark... that damn mage drugged me.

~he walked until he was sure they were out of earshot of anyone, before turning around and staring at her.~

"Didn't want me to find out? Find out you were spying on me? Listen to me, woman. If you tell Jade, or do anything to try and break us up, I swear..."

~He was practically spiiting the words out. He was angry~

~she looked right at him not backing down at all~

"I wasn't spying...I was there. With you. I shifted. We both needed to get that out of our systems. I am not going to speak of it. I didn't think I would shift back to it but with all the emotions it did. I am sorry. This is all on me. I did it. Your good for Jade. But I would have you rather been with me shifted then some other cheap hor. I am not holding this over you am not going to do anything like that. I was a bad judgement call on my part. I was pissed at art and well I had ruined your night. You let loose that night as much as I did. I know you weren't like that with Jade. You need that as much as I did. "

~His jaw opened slightly in shock.~

"You?"

~He closed his mouth, frowning at her.~

"We don't mention this ever again."

~he was about to mention how different she is to her daughter, but was still too shocked and mad at her to do so.~

~she nodded~

"Yes me.. and really she will never know and doesn't need to know. Am sorry that I took advantage of you."


~she looked at him for moment.~

" Now since I have drove you away from Jade. She really does need you. So you need to send me back to the library. You both know how to get me. Just touch the necklace and send me away. And tib.. if you do ever need me for anything. and I mean it. Just call me. Now send me off if you want."

~He was still angry, but damn she was good. She was also right - he did need what she gave him. He took a deep breath~

"You're not going to stay with us?"

~she tried not to smile alittle~

"Yes I can stay. It your house and your rules. and you have the power to call me and send me away. So its your choice Tib."

"No more shifting though. I don't want to see that side of you again."

~he held her gaze, his face emotionless as usual, and it was hard to know if he was joking or being serious. Then he turned and started walking back inside.~

"Yes sir."

~she followed him towards the door but stay out for a moment. As she looked up in the sky.~


~she whispered up to the sky~

"What the hell are you doing art. Keep him safe and bring him back to us." ~she continued to look up and watch the sky.~

~she was watching the fire in the chair curled up hoping someone would be back soon. She was play with a loose piece of hair in her fingers. Mindlessly trying not to think. She sat there a little more as she moved her hand like she was calling part of the fire to her. Soon there was a small fireball at her fingertips. She was moving it around her hand. She just stared at the flame. As it danced.~

~He walked in, not bothering to hold the doors for Indis. he guessed she could glidethrough them or something. He opened the inner door and saw Jade sitting watching the fire, with a small flame on her palm. He leaned against the door frame, arms folded and a small smile on his face.~

"Any other tricks you can do with that?"

~she looked up at the sound of his voice and smiled~

"Fire is the hardest to control for me." ~she let the fire move down her hand. covering her hand with flame then threw it back to the fireplace.~

~she turned back to him~

"Did you have a nice walk? Sorry if the way I was upset you. I just couldn't process it any other way. And when he gets back I think I will punch him just for making me cry."

~He smiled to her.~

"No, I wasn't upset at you. I'm more annoyed at not being able to work out what the in the nine hells he thinks he's doing."

~If there was one thing Tiberious hated, it was an unsolved mystery. And this was one of those.~

~He sat back down, watching her, and glad he and her mother had cleared the air. He didn't want to jeopardise what he had here.~

"I won't let you punch him when he returns. Not first anyway. I get first punch!"

~she chuckled~

"Ok you get first punch then I get second."

~she moved over to him and sat across his lap.~

"This really is a nice place to call home and am glad its with you." ~she kissed him deeply~

~He kissed her back, then when he came up for air he looked into her eyes.~

"I need to let the Duke know I'm back, then we can begin training the elite soldiers. You want to help us?"

~she looked a little surprised.~

"Really? "

~she smiled a little.~

"It be an honor."

"Remember, these are the best of the best.. Actually, they're not. THE best go to the Royal Guards. These are the best of the rest. Fierce and loyal guards who I want to shape into the ultimate fighting force. The question is, who do you want them to know you as? The daughter of Indis Blake - former General of a realm and Duchess of this city who died defending the people of the island?"

~she nodded~

"I would rather that I don't need backlash from someone holding a grudge to him."

~he nodded~

"That makes sense. Although it might be worth mentioning the fact you have been granted sanctuary within the city. Although I doubt any of these men would hold a grudge about their former commanding officer. Your father - for all his failures - did look after people well, and always try to give them the best."

~For a brief moment he thought of Jesse, and how Artimus had helped her. Hell, that kindness was what had made her take Mac away, because she felt she owed him.~

"I'll send a messenger to find the Duke, and go check the supplies we've got so far."

~he got up off the chair and then turned to look at her.~

"And I'll need to find some seamstresses. I need them to make some boots for the horses."

~he smiled slightly. That sounded very cryptic, but he'd had an idea on the journey over here.~

~she looked at him~

"I trust you to say whom are my parents when needed. I can't hide that am his daughter. There are things I do that might get people wondering. or if I decide to bring his rapier..." ~she glanced at the box with both her parents swords.~


~she nodded to him talking about checking the supplies and messaging the duke. and raised an eyebrow at the seamstresses.~

"Oh lord..." she said softly then smiled at him.

"I want to see what all is in these boxes from Grorr that were moms. Unless you need me to do anything for you? I will just stay here for now and go thru them and put them away."

~he glanced over to her as she rolled her eyes.~

"Alright, I'll go do my thing and you get settled in. A delivery should be arrving soon with my stuff soon, so try not to take up all the space."

~she grinned~

"Well I will try I just have soooo much stuff..."

~she smiled~

"Be safe love."

"Of course I'll be safe!"

~he smiled and walked out, heading down the stairs and into the courtyard. He asked a servant to send a message to Duke Leto telling him Tiberious was now here and ready to begin, then went to look at the training area.~

~A couple of the recruits - if he could call seasoned fighters that - were already here. Ones that he'd picked already, so he walked over and shook their hands, giving them a little more idea what he was planning, and together they went to look at the equipment.~

~Some of the items he needed were already here. At least they wouldn't need to worry about weaponary, as all the recruits would have their own. He watched as a couple of them started a friendly spar, then they all took turns on the new firing range. Tiberious went over to look at the targets, wondering about putting wheels on them and attaching ropes, to allow them to move to make it a little harder to hit. Opponents wouldn't stand in the same place all the time.~

~After Tib was gone for a bit she decided she didn't want to go thru things. she grabbed her dagger and placed it on her side. Slide one in her boot and hide the third one. She grabbed her bow and arrows and head down to where she had noticed the targets were and wanted to see if she could beat her own distance. She Stay back and she noticed them target practicing. She smiled as she grabbed her bow and placed an arrow drawing back. One target was between Tib and the other recruits. She fired... god she loved being a half elf the distances she could see things. The Arrow flew thru the air hitting its mark. She pulled the bow around her. Yes she knew she was showing off a little. She then walked closer to the group.~


"Sorry about that. I wanted to test something." ~she had brown leather pants and boots on. The top was half top with a blue rose on one shoulder. Its was old hard leather armor... looking closely at it... was Indis signature... its part of the set she had made back when she was a general. It fit jade perfectly.~
