Training the People

~As the arrow sailed past him, he stepped back and turned, hand going to his quiver to reload his own bow. Then he saw Jade and relaxed. He noted the others had done exactly the same, although two of them still had their weapons trained on her as she walked forward. He motioned for them to lower as she spoke.~

"Test how quickly these battle-honed men can kill you by pulling a stupid stunt?"
~His voice was his working voice, plain and hard. He paused for a moment, then smiled very slightly, his voice changing.~

"This is Jade Blake." ~he noted the look of recognition on some of the faces.~ "Daughter of Indis Blake." ~he felt like adding 'And as cockey as her father'~ "Her and her family have been offered sanctuary in this city, so expect her to keep appearing like this. Think of her as a device for keeping you on your toes at all times. You never know when she's going to appear."

~He walked over to stand next to her, then put an arm around her. He'd never made such a display in public - especially in front of his men - before.~

~she smiled softly and was a little surprised by what he was doing.~

"Am glad to keep them on there toes. And an honor to meet you all. Must be something about them if you picked them."
~she against him a little her hand moving up to touch the pendent he had given her.~


"About before I was testing to see how far back I could shoot."
~she shifted her weight to her back foot a little.~

"I could help set up some targets that might move also. I helped my fath... I help set them up before.."

~He removes his arm and walks towards the targets.~

"I was thinking of attaching wheels and rope, so two people can stand either side - out of the line of fire - and move the target backwards and forwards."

~He indicated with his hands as he spoke.~

"Of course there is the other moving target practise..."
~He turned to look at everyone with a small smile on his face.~

"I wonder if the wood has turned up yet."

~He walked back towards the equipment. One of the things he had asked for was several large sheets of thick wood. There they were. He them to help him paint targets on the sheets, and they began work. Tiberious took one sheet and started painting with Jade.~

~she chuckled alittle at the moving targets comment as in us being the targets...~


~she followed him to the wood and they got to work painting she glanced over to tib for a sec and threw some paint at him a few drops got on him. she smiled and continued to work.~

~He looked up as she splaltered his nice shirt with paint. He glanced down at it, then at her.~

"Do you have any idea how much this shirt cost?"

~he flicked some paint over at her in retaliation.~

~she was a little surprised when he flicked some back at her. She looked around and they were alone the others had gone off.~

"Well I do prefer you without a shirt."

~she grinned softly at him as she dipped her brush in the paint and smirked a little holding it up.~

~He scowled at her slightly. There was a time and a place for these things, and out in the open was NOT one of those places. He did however know they were alone, he'd seen the others leaving out of the corner of his eye.~

"Jade!" ~he snapped slightly as she held the brush up like a weapon, but he slowly dipped the head of his brush into the pot, taking a large dollop of paint ready to defend himself.~

"You might want to think long and hard about this."

~she smiled and playfully raised her eyebrows. Holding her brush and with a flick of her wrist sending paint at him~

"Bring it."

~He rose to his feet, his brush dripping with fresh paint. He didn't look down at his shirt this time, instead he kept his eyes on his opponent. They narrowed, and he moved the brush around in his fingers, turning it so the head was along his wrist and arm ((but not touching, just backwards to how you would normally hold it)). He took a step to his right then struck. His whole arm coiled out, adding extra force to his wrist flick that sent a spray of paint towards her.~

~she got up when he did keeping her brush out in the open she was smiling as they danced around. She got coated in paint as he flicked his arm. Which made her jump alittle out of reaction. She then moved and made a quick x shaped movement up and then back down. There was less paint as she watched him... she needed to refill... she didn't expect him to play with her like this and she was loving every moment of it.~

~He felt the paint hit his clothing. He needed a shield of some sort. He also knew she needed to reload her weapon. He didn't need to look at the pot to know where it was; he knew exactly where abouts it was. He darted back to his left to cover the pot and stop her using it.~

~This training was perfect for her. It would teach her how to think in battle without any danger of her getting injured. Now, if only there was a way of attaching paint onto arrow tips, then they could train the guards with those with no danger.~

"If you want to surrender your weapon now, I'll make sure you get a fair trial."

~As he spoke he flicked once again, not quite as hard this time, but his own brush only had a few more shots left in it.~

((OOC: By "covering the pot", I mean he's standing over it. It's not got a lid on it or anything))

~she stood back a little thinking about her options. He was blocking her paint...she needed a reload...she glanced over... she saw were his paint was...she moved slowly around him.. he couldn't guard both of them..she kept her eyes on him as she moved around him.. She went for his paint.~

~No, that stupid girl! If she put her brush in hs pot she would mix the colours! He sprung, using his leg muscles to push himself, and aimed to grab herto bring her to the ground before she could reach the pot.~

~she rolled to the ground with him and squeeked a little as they rolled a little she tried to be the one on top.~

~He made contact with her and rolled forward as they hit the ground, using years of training and experience of this sort of situation. Instinct took over and his left hand grabbed her right wrist to stop her stabbing him with it. It was absurd, but he couldnt fight his nature. His right hand went back to his sword belt, reaching for the manacles, but stopped short and came back. He still held the brush.~

~she felt his motions the going for his mancles then stopping. She wiggled around under him. She looked up at him.~

"Total instinct..." ~she smiled up at him.~

~She left his right hand free, so he darted it forward, strikign her face with the head and drawing a line down her nose, then across to her cheek.~

"Disarm and disable. That's the proceedure for arresting an attacker."

~she grinned up at him.~

"I thought I was not allowed to be attacked in the city."


~she tilted her head at him. She tried to wiggle around to get her legs wrapped around him.~

~he remained where he was, brush tip poised above her face as he held it there for her to see, ready to strike.~

"I believe you attacked me first. I am simply defending." ~he paused~ "But of course, I must abide by the Dukes rules."

~He dropped the brush to the floor and released he right hand, relaxing slightly.~

~that was all she needed with that she rolled him over and pinned him to the ground. But stayed close to him she smiled at him her lips just inches from his. then kissed him as she reached for his paintbrush.~

~He lay on his back, pinned down by her.~

"You do realise there are serious penalties for drawing on the face of an Aegis guard, don't you?"

~There was a lightness in his tone that wasn't usually present when they were outside.~

~she smiled~

" Oh there is..."

~she then moved the brush down and painted across his chest.~

"There i didn't paint on your face."

"Oh, you have done it now. If you had let me finish, i was going to say that although there are serious penalties for drawing on the face, they are doubled if anywhere else painted on. You've just earnt yourself a large dose of trouble."

~she put her hands out in front of her~

"Ok arrest me. Or should I ask what the penality is."

~she smiled softly down at him sitting up on him~

~He wasn't fully trapped under her at the moment, he could probably still wrestle her off of him, but he was actually enjoying this. He looked up at her, seeing she was having fun too. He knew she would be able to feel he was enjoying this from the position she was sitting in. He smiled slightly, and tried to do a mock version of his serious voice.~

"Oh no, you don't think you can trick me like that, do you? I know you too well now. If i try to manacle you, you'll just wriggle out of them, or try and put them on me instead or something. Besides, can I actually arrest someone who has sanctuary? No, I'll have to find a much bigger punishment than that for you."
