Hunting for Jade (Part 2)

He saw that grin and guessed what it was for.

I'm not worried about him right now. Once we're out the town I doubt would follow us. However, Jade I do want you to go over to Draco for me, and pick up Azure, then meet us in Meriddia. You'll be faster getting to Draco on your own, just make sure you don't tire yourself out again. I'll get you a horse at Meriddia.

He spoke with an almost commanding voice, the one he used when making "suggestions" to deployment of troops; the old Military Commander back in action. He realised what he sounded like.

Sorry, not "want".. would like should be a better way fo saying it...

~she chuckled~

"Dad I don't mind the way you say things. you don't need to stop it that. I kinda like it. Reminds me of being with the guard. I love you the way you are. So no worries. Ok Draco it is then."

~she smiled and walked over and hugged her mom and then hugged and held her dad for a while.~

"I will meet back up with you guys in Meriddia." ~she smiled~

"Mom keep an eye on him." ~she smiled.~

~she hugged jade and then chuckled~

"I will keep an eye on him."

He gave that lopsided grin of his and chuckled.

It's just that I have to keep reminding myself NOT to order you around. It's more like.. suggestioning what you could do. If you turned around and said "No, i'd rather go with you two, we can all go to Draco then Meriddia", then we could do that. I won't punish you for refusing.

He laughed.

Don't worry, I'll let her keep an eye on me. You just.. make sure you don't go chasing strange men, or challenging guards to duels, or any of the other things that i know you've done.

His tone was very light, he was playing with her. He really was starting to trust her more.

~she chuckled~

"A girl has to have a little fun. But I will stick to my task." ~she smiled and grabbed her bag~

"I will see you soon you two." ~she walked out of the room and down the stairs to the bar and asked for a shot of whiskey.~


~Downing the glass she asked for a second one.~

He watched her go and looked at Indis.

Am I really like that? he asked with a grin on his face.

Come on, we better hurry, else she'll still beat us to Meriddia!

~she chuckled~

"Yes you are or were. A little wiser now."

~she smiled~

"Lead the way Master." ~she giggled alittle and then she barked and laughed.~

He flashed her his cocky grin, grabbed their bags and headed out of the rooms.
He paid the tavern owner and left, arm in arm with Indis.

The horse he had borrowed from Draco was in the stables, and appeared to be rested, so he took that one and after helping Indy on, they headed off to Meriddia.
